Well, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 just got better from its predecessor, it now has a better hinge, less bezels. Talking about the display first, it has a 7.6-inch QXGA+ flexible AMOLED display on the inside with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2208X1768 pixels. It also has a punch-hole on the top-right for the selfie camera. The exterior display looks stunning as it is now a 6.2-inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED edge-to-edge display with a resolution on 2260X816 pixels. It also has that punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Both of the punch-hole cutouts have a 10-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Talking about internals, it has the top-notch Snapdragon 865+ processor and has 5G support. The processor is paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone runs on OneUI 2.1 based on Android 10. Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery that is present as 2,250mAh on both sides of the hinge. It has that 25W fast charging via USB Type-C port. It also supports 11W wireless charging and wireless power share which is reverse wireless charging. So you can charge your TWS earphones and watches. On the camera end, it has two 10-megapixel selfie cameras on both inside and outside displays, and a triple camera setup on the outside. The triple camera system is the same as the vanilla Galaxy Note 20. So you have a 12-megapixel primary camera with OIS, 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x hybrid zoom.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be available in two colors namely Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze. The pricing and availability details aren’t announced yet and Samsung promises to share more about them in September but the device is likely to be in the sun USD 2,000 bracket.
