In the cloud gaming segment, we have NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, Google’s Stadia that has one of the lowest latency and good selection of games. Microsoft’s Project xCloud offers some really cool Xbox titles. It has been in preview for a few months now and will launch soon for everyone.
Project xCloud to Launch in September
The game streaming service is actually gaining a lot of popularity lately as the new upcoming consoles are likely to be around USD 500 and if you want to set up a PC to run AAA titles, that will cost you even more. Project xCloud offers over a hundred of Xbox Game Pass titles. It requires a monthly subscription and offers many games included in that. Project xCloud will be exiting preview in September and Microsoft is combining Xbox Live, Xbox Game Pass, and xCloud game streaming and that will be called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it will cost you USD 15 per month. According to The Verge, Microsoft won’t always combine xCloud to the USD 15 a month subscription of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. There is no word from Microsoft about the future subscriptions yet. However, at the launch, you will be able to play 100 Xbox Game pass titles on all the supported devices that also include Android phones and tablets. Again, no word from Microsoft on which games will be available at launch and what devices will be supported. The support for DualShock 4 controllers and PC streaming will be coming soon. There is also no announcements from Microsoft about the countries that it will launch the xCloud service and they also told The Verge that Project xCloud won’t be the final name of the service. “Finally, today we’re announcing that this September, in supported countries, we’re bringing Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud together at no additional cost for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. With cloud gaming in Game Pass Ultimate, you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles on your phone or tablet. And because Xbox Live connects across devices, you can play along with the nearly 100 million Xbox Live players around the world. So when Halo Infinite launches, you and your friends can play together and immerse yourselves in the Halo universe as Master Chief—anywhere you go and across devices. Cloud gaming in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate means your games are no longer locked to the living room. You can connect more than ever with friends and family through gaming. And just like you do with your movie and music streaming services, when cloud gaming launches into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can continue your game wherever you left off on any of your devices.” via Microsoft’s Blog (SOURCE) (VIA 1) (VIA 2) (VIA 3) Read More About Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone Pre-Order Registrations Started Ahead of Official Announcement Microsoft Releases Warning for a ‘Wormable’ Critical Windows DNS Server Vulnerability
